WASHINGTON -- Congressman Steve Stockman (R-TX 36) is co-sponsoring H. Res. 547, the Bipartisan National Day of Prayer Resolution. This resolution establishes May 1, 2014 as the 63rd annual National Day of Prayer and reaffirms the importance of prayer in our nation’s history.
Sold as legislation that would protect vulnerable species, the Endangered Species Act and other wildlife preservation laws are instead routinely abused by environmentalists as weapons against employers.

WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Stockman seeks to cut off federal funding to states that register gun owners or confiscate any gun from any citizen who may legally bear arms.
WASHINGTON - Congressman Stockman last week introduced H.R. 4381, the Biometric Information Privacy Act. It would protect a consumer’s personal physiological biometric information from being passed onto third parties.
Biometric data include personal identifying information such as DNA, fingerprints, retinal scans or facial scanning, converted into binary code.

WASHINGTON - Today Congressman Steve Stockman (R-TX) will introduce the “Virtual Currency Tax Reform Act.” If enacted, this legislation would change the tax status of virtual currencies, such as Bitcoin, from property to currency.
Congressman Steve Stockman (R-TX-36) is a regular attendee of the March for Life, but can't attend this year. Rep. Stockman was the original sponsor of the Sanctity of Life Act in the 1990's, and has co-sponsored the Act in this Congress. March attendees are invited to stop by the Congressman's office at 326 Cannon House Office Building. This year is the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade.
