Stockman works to expose SPLC hate campaign in wake of FRC shooting
Congressman Steve Stockman delivered the following remarks on the House floor Friday, Sept. 22 exposing the hateful agenda of the Southern Povery Law Center.
SPLC: Betraying the Public Trust
What’s wrong when an organization claiming to oppose “hate groups”—spreads hate?
Remember last year’s attempted mass-murder at the office of the Family Research Center; a pro-family organization?
Turns out the convicted shooter targeted this peaceful family organization from the website of the Southern Poverty Law Center.
That’s creating hate.
Not opposing hate.
What did the SPLC do after the shooting to prevent another such assault?
In fact, the SPLC has similarly branded over 1,300 peaceful conservative groups at hate groups.
The bottom line? It could happen again.
The SPLC today seems at great odds with their original purpose to combat racial discrimination.
So how is SPLC’s 42nd anniversary being remembered? This week, the convicted shooter was being sentenced to 25 years under Washington, DC’s anti-terrorist law.
That’s the SPLC’s tragic legacy today.
