> Markos Moulitsas bragged about his remarks the next day, boasting ‘I struck back’ against dead Americans
> Stockman: ‘Democrats should be ashamed. It’s like the White House wakes up every morning thinking of new ways to express hatred of the military’
WASHINGTON -- Congressman Steve Stockman Thursday called on Vice President Joe Biden to cancel his upcoming speech at Netroots Nation, a liberal conference founded and sponsored by a liberal website that cheered the deaths of Americans in Iraq.
WASHINGTON -- Veterans denied prompt care at Veterans Administration facilities would receive a voucher to seek care at any non-VA facility under legislation introduced May 29 by Congressman Steve Stockman (R-TX 36).
“Government waiting lists are literally killing veterans. If the government can’t deliver care veterans should be able to get their guaranteed care at a private facility,” said Stockman.
“The fatal problems within the VA are a product of the system itself. You cannot fix the problem without reforming the system,” said Stockman.
WASHINGTON -- Congressman Steve Stockman will introduce a resolution demanding President Barack Obama impose “harsh sanctions” on the Mexican government until they release U.S. Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi.
“Mexico’s arrest and detention of Sgt. Tahmooressi is an unnecessary and inflammatory act. It’s becoming clear the only way to bring Sgt. Tahmooressi home is for the U.S. government to threaten harsh sanctions,” said Stockman.
WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Stockman (R-TX 36) released the following statement Friday morning:
Secretary Shinseki’s resignation today is a callous attempt to hide Barack Obama’s direct responsibility for the deadly VA scandal.
Obama is building a smokescreen by offering Shinseki as a burnt sacrifice.
>> Obama first told of VA problems in 2008
>> Obama chose to not act for years, even as veterans died
>> Obama wasn’t ‘mad,’ did nothing for five years, until media discovered scandal
WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Stockman (R-TX 36) issued the following statement Monday following reports the Obama administration was first told in 2008 of record falsification by Veterans Administration personnel:
Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric Shinseki testified Thursday before the Senate Veterans Affairs committee. There, he answered questions relating to the recent Phoenix VA facility scandal, along with the benefits backlog and delayed treatment problems that continue to plague VA facilities across our nation.

Dear Representative Stockman:
WASHINGTON – House Republican Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) released the following statement today after the House passed the Honoring the Families of Fallen Soldiers Act and the Flight Safety Act:
WASHINGTON – House Republican Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) released the following statement today after the House voted to pass the bipartisan Honoring Our Promise to America's Veterans Act.
‘Obama set up this confrontation, and even had Park Police warn wheelchair-bound 90-year-old vets may be arrested for seeing it before they die, because he hoped the mainstream media would blame Republicans.’
WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Stockman released the following statement Wednesday:
There is no other way to put it. Democrats are curb-stomping veterans.
My father served in World War II and fought the Nazis.
He was cared for by the Veterans Administration until he passed away.
